Abstract submission deadline:

Monday, November 28th, 2022 (midnight, anywhere on Earth) ⏳

Topics: MAIN welcomes all abstracts at the crossroads of neuroscience and artificial intelligence. Abstracts that relate only to Neuroscience or only to AI will not be considered.

Format: The abstract should describe the background, aim of your project, your methods, results and a conclusion. It should not exceed 300 words. Note that poster presentations for accepted abstracts this year will be in person, so make sure you register to MAIN before submitting.


Please note:

  • Each individual can only have one first author submission (but co-authorship on more than one abstract is allowed).

  • For your submission to be considered you need to register for MAIN 2022 using the same email address. You can sign-up for the conference by following the registration link on the MAIN 2022 homepage.

  • If you have questions regarding abstract submissions please contact: unique-affaires-etudiantes@umontreal.ca

  • In the submission form, you will also be asked to indicate whether you would accept to deliver a "lightning talk" (2-min) about your work at the conference, in person.

🏆 Abstract Contest

Prizes will be awarded during the closing remarks on Dec 13th and are possible thanks to support by the IVADO program, the Institut Intelligence et Données (IID), the Applied AI Institute, and the UNIQUE Quebec Neuro-AI Research Center.

Evaluation Criteria

  • Layout of poster (clarity, organization) /25%

  • Content of research (clarity and conciseness of the poster presentation) /25%

  • Oral presentation skills (engagement, demonstrated knowledge) /25%

  • Overall Impact (potential to make a novel contribution to the field) /25%

Submissions were considered by the jury for the following categories:

  • The UNIQUE Neuro-AI best poster award (Undergraduate level)

  • The UNIQUE Neuro-AI best poster award (Masters level)

  • The UNIQUE Neuro-AI best poster award (PhD level)

  • The UNIQUE Neuro-AI best poster award (Postdoc level)

  • 2 Best poster prizes “Leading women in Neuro-AI”

  • Best poster prize “The Applied AI Institute award”

  • Best poster prize “The Institut Intelligence and Data best poster award”
